Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a second step to sign in. After you enter your password or sign in with Google, you also enter a 6-digit code. An authenticator app makes a new code every 30 seconds. If someone learns your password, they still cannot sign in without the code.

You can use any authenticator app, on your phone or on your computer. Many password managers also make these codes.
